OUR STORY

  TKY Contracting is a family owned and operated business that has been serving the Fraser valley for all of its construction needs for over 40 years. The owner Klarence started working in the construction trade at the age of 14, starting off framing and building chicken barns. Klarence then ventured into concrete, working for Neil Co. building bridges on the Coquihalla highway. After years of labouring and learning the trade Klarence was determined to start something on his own. He went out to start his own concrete form rental business and ran it for 3 years, while also starting and running Triple A Contracting Ltd. with his partner doing concrete work building underground parking lots, tilt up concrete construction, Foundations, placing and finishing concrete for 15 years. Then they started to branch out into other areas of the construction industry to be able to take on any job that comes their way. They started building custom homes, townhouse complexes and doing renovations. After some things didn't work out in the partnership, Klarence started to rebuild and brand his own company all on his own this time and that was when TKY was born. Still working in the construction industry and mastering the trade, Klarence wanted to branch out more and started by purchasing his first skid steer to start pushing snow and expanding his new one man operation where quality work and customer service was the top priority. After working long backbreaking hours he was able to purchase his first truck to push snow and expand even more. Klarence wasn't done yet. He then designed and built his own brine machine to be ahead of the curve and offer a new and more efficient way to keep ice from forming on the ground. He was one of the first in the Fraser valley to have and be offering a brining service.  TKY hasn't stopped and has now grown its fleet and family by bringing in Klarence's sons to keep TKY as a well known, hard working, creditable family owned and operated business where quality work and customers come first.
